Lloyd "Pokey/Dee" Frazier, 68, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.
He was the youngest of eight, born in Camden, Ark., to Bill Frazier and Martha Browning. He graduated from Camden Fairview in 1975 and shortly moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he quickly found work at the Roosevelt Hotel and spent the next 20 years as a maintenance technician. He then retired after 18 dedicated years from Amana Refrigeration. Pokey was a hardworking family man, loving husband and a nurturing father, who was a man of little words, with a lot of meaning behind them.
He is survived by his wife, Aileen Fenton-Frazier; one son, Derick “Buck” (Terita) Frazier of Mesquite, Texas; two daughters Koty and LaToye (Bryce) Frazier, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one sister, Evelyn Harper, of Camden, Ark.; four grandchildren; and a wealth of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by both parents, Bill and Martha (Roosevelt McKinley); two sisters; four brothers; and a mother-in-law.
