I-380 northbound traffic delayed after crash in Cedar Rapids
A crash on northbound Interstate 380 in Cedar Rapids is delaying traffic flow through the city by nearly 20 minutes.
The Iowa Department of Transportation reports the crash happened between Exit 21: H Avenue and J Avenue, and Exit 22: 29th Street and Cold Stream.
The crash, involving a motorcycle, resulted in severe injuries, according to the Cedar Rapids Police Department. The road will remain blocked for the investigation, the department stated in a social media post.
A detour has been established, but as of 5:43 p.m., the delay for northbound traffic was 19 minutes. DOT video and photo of I-380 show traffic backed up as far as Wilson Avenue.
