Clyde Zedick, 86, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2023, at Jones Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, where friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Czeck National Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, with military honors.
Surviving is his sister, Mary Zedick; several cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and special friend, Doreen Streeper.
Clyde Frederick Zedick Jr. was born Aug. 26, 1936, at Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was the son of Clyde Sr. and Agnes Jirasek, Zedick. Clyde graduated from the Monticello Community Schools in 1954. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army. Clyde worked for Bohlken Motors in Scotch Grove, Cuckler Buildings and NAPA auto parts where he was a machinist. He later worked at B&G Auto Parts and Big A auto parts as a salesman and delivery person. Clyde bought his first Cushman Scooter from military surplus while in high school. His collection of scooters and later Harley-Davidson motorcycles continued throughout his life.
