CEDAR RAPIDS — Two new restaurants are planning to move into Westdale Town Center soon.
Crab House Seafood Boil & Bar, a new restaurant that appears to be independently owned, recently started advertising its planned location at 2360 Edgewood Rd. SW, Suite 100. A Google listing indicates that it plans to open Nov. 1.
No other details about the restaurant are available yet.
The new restaurant will replace Saucy Focaccia, which closed in December after nearly 10 years in business. Citing “a downturn in the economy,” owner Paul Andreasen also closed the family-owned Breakfast Bar in Hiawatha after fewer than two years open.
Crab House will join at least two other restaurants planning a move to Westdale Town Center.
Boulder Tap House, which closed its Lindale Mall location in June, lists a new free-standing location at 4515 Westdale Pkwy. SW as “opening soon” on its website. The small chain has nine other locations, all in Minnesota and Iowa.
An opening date its new location has not been announced.
Napoli’s Italian Restaurant decided to branch out of Marion with a second location opening in the west-side shopping center this fall — a space formerly home to a Noodles & Company.
