It is with a saddened heart, to let you know Diane “Di” Henthorne passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 29, 2023. A graveside service and interment of cremains will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 21, 2023, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. We will meet at the funeral home at 9:50 a.m.
Di was born on April 20, 1956. She came to LinnHaven in September of 1984 where she resided in what we know now as the condos, before they turned into the LinnHaven offices. Some years after Di moved in, Nancy moved in, and they would become best friends and housemates for close to 30 years.
Anyone who knew Di, knew she was very spunky and would definitely let you know when she did not want to do something. She loved shopping for purses and had a large collection of them. She attended Options and still loved going to work to see her friends and staff there. She would make everyone feel like she missed him or her so much when they would walk in, with a big “HI” and a handshake or a “c’mon, c’mon” and wave people over with her hand gesture to sit next to her.
She is survived by her foster sister Sherry Wilson.
Preceding her in death was her foster sister Deb (Larry) Muskat.
Diane will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cedar Valley Humane Society. Online condolences may be directed to the family at www.cedarmemorial.com under Obituaries.
