Dawn Hensch, 57, of Center Point, Iowa, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2023. The family will hold a celebration of life at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at Rubies in Center Point. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids assisted the family.
Dawn was born Oct. 8, 1965, in Iowa, the daughter of Larry and Patricia (Goodwin) Wilson. She graduated from high school and attended Capri College. Dawn worked for HACAP. She was a member of the Center Point Fire Family Auxiliary. Dawn enjoyed gardening and yard work. She loved helping in any way she could and assisted with the Comfort Food 154 food truck. Above all else, Dawn loved being a mom and grandma, picking up her granddaughter every day from school.
Survivors include her partner, Raydell Reid; sons, Casey Wilson, Kyle Wilson and Cameron Hensch; grandchild, Kassandra Wilson; mother, Patricia Wilson; and siblings, Trudy (Steve) Stenersen, Elizabeth Wilson, Ronda (Steven) Wilson and Larry “Buddy” Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Wilson.
