Cedar Rapids
Carol S. Cutler, 79, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2023. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Inurnment will follow at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Carol was born on July 21, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, to Harvey and Minnie Lathrop. She attended Jefferson High School and Drake University. She was united in marriage to C. James Cutler on June 13, 1964. She worked at JC Penney, from which she retired in 2004. Carol was longtime volunteer at St. Luke's UnityPoint Hospital. She was an active member of Grasshopper Golf Group, Lake McBride Golf Club and previously the American Red Cross.
She loved tending to her flower garden, taking beach vacations and was an avid golfer.
Carol is survived by her husband, James; children, Mark Cutler (Tammy Zimmerman) of Cedar Rapids and Stacie (Ralph) Reid of Marion; and grandchildren, Blake Cutler of Cedar Rapids, Rachel Reid (Shane Bussan) of Fort Worth, Texas, and Casey Cutler of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
