Theresa Lacina, 61, of Iowa City passed away at her family home on Aug. 8, 2023, after an extended illness.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Iowa City on Friday, Aug. 11, 2023. A visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Village Community.
Theresa graduated from West Branch High School and was a lifelong resident of Iowa City. She was an entrepreneurial spirit who cut hair in the area for many years. She had a wide network of friends and family and lived her life on her own terms right up to the end.
Theresa is survived by her father Donald Lacina; siblings Ron Lacina, Cathy Lacina, Mark (Jenny) Lacina, Jan (Andy) Zenisek, Al (Jill) Lacina, Sandy Gerard, Wendy Lacina, Mike (Sonya) Lacina; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn (Vitosh) Lacina.
