Jane M. Pettit, 59, of North Liberty, died Sunday, July 30, 2023.
Jane Margaret (Valle) Pettit was born on Jan. 15, 1964, in Clinton, Iowa, to her parents, William and Theresa Valle.
Jane spent her childhood in Des Moines and attended DMAAC, where she received her associate degree. In early adulthood, Jane moved to the Iowa City area, where she proudly worked at the VA Hospital for 19 years. Jane was married in 2013 to the love of her life, Tom Pettit. Tom and Jane enjoyed life in North Liberty, Iowa, until Tom’s death in 2018. Jane had many health challenges throughout her life.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, John; and her husband, Tom.
She is survived by her sisters, Mary Goodrich (Jerry) of Ankeny, Iowa, and Anne Keating (Bill) of Ponte Vedra, Fla.
Jane will be laid to rest beside her husband Tom. Jane’s family would like to thank Mercy Hospice of Cedar Rapids and Heritage Care Center of Cedar Rapids, Jane’s home for the past two years.
