David “Dave” A. Keeling, 72, of Belle Plaine, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at the Belle Plaine Specialty Care surrounded by his family. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
David was born on Oct. 29, 1950, to Robert and Beverly (Shannon) Keeling in Crawfordsville, Ind. He graduated from North Scott High School in 1970. After graduation, he was drafted and served in the U.S. Navy for 17 years. Dave was united in marriage to Suzanne Mitchell on Sept. 9, 1978, in Nashua, Iowa.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Suzanne; sons, Sean (Sara) Keeling; Scott (Kasey) Keeling; Joel (Annika) Keeling; and Tavis R. Kilian; grandchildren, Callum, Layla, Stella, Luna, Sawyer and Isla. Also surviving are his sisters, Lynn (Steve) Lampman and Kim (Jerry) Wihlborg; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and numerous aunts and uncles.
