Frank A. Lauderdale
Frank A. Lauderdale
Cedar Rapids
On July 20, 2023, family and friends lost one of the good guys. Frank lost his battle with pancreatic cancer.
Frank was fair, kind, funny and lovable. He worried more about his family than himself. Frank
was
so proud of his stepsons, Kelly and Corey Baker. They will miss his badgering, corny jokes and his cooking. Frank was an Air Force vet having ser
ved in the
Vietnam War.
Stationed in Thailand
he refueled jets
for our service men. Frank
worked at the Square D Company
for 43
years making a lot of friends that he loved to joke with.
While at Square D he was active on union committees He was a devoted Hawkeye fan whether they won or lost. We even got to attend a few games Frank was an all-around great guy. He will be missed so very much.
Passing before him were his parents, Vi and Frank Senior; and his brother, Ray.
Surviving family members are his wife, Mary Baker-Lauderdale; brother, Mike (wife Kelli); stepsons, Kelly and Corey Baker; and several nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A gathering will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at the IAM (local 831), 222 Prospect Place, SW.
