Napoli’s Italian Restaurant expanding to Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS — Signs point to a second location in the near future for Napoli’s Italian Restaurant.

The Marion establishment at 500 Marion Blvd. soon will be opening a second location near Westdale Town Center at 2360 Edgewood Rd. SW, Suite 600, in Cedar Rapids, according to new signs that have appeared in front of the strip mall space next to Wing Stop.

The space was previously home to a Noodles & Company location.

Owner Gony Qerimi said the second location would open in the fall, according to the Corridor Business Journal.

The expansion comes after Napoli’s previously tried to expand to Clinton. The Clinton location closed in February 2017, a year after it opened, according to the Clinton Herald.

Qerimi and his brother, Muho, opened the original Marion location in 2011. Both grew up in Naples, Italy.
