Women’s health, human life should not be different ‘sides’

I appreciated the balanced and encouraging piece by Althea Cole regarding the prospects of consensus on abortion policy in the 6/25 Gazette. Balanced, because she presented her understanding of “both sides of the question” and encouraging, because she suggested hope that a compromise could lead to the resolution of each.
Here's a compromise: Agree to consider the “questions” separately. 1. Is the intentional destruction of human life acceptable? 2. What are the rights of women concerning their health care? As long as the questions are considered “sides” of the same issue, there can be no consensus.
