Phyllis Jean Melsha, of San Marcos, Texas, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully July 1, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Melsha; her daughter, Lori Melsha; her mother, Genevieve Batey; and her brothers, Bobby Batey, Charles Batey and Jerry Batey.
Phyllis Melsha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who leaves behind her daughter, Cindy Melsha-Payton, her husband, Jeff, her three grandchildren whom she loved with all of her heart, Kenneth Ables, Nichole Ables and Brittnay Ables; her most cherished great-grandson, Cody Frederick, lovingly called her Nana; sister, Sandra Lindeken; and many nieces and nephews.
Phyllis will be missed by many, but she will live on in the Kingdom of our Lord. She is gone on this earth; she will never be forgotten.
Psalm 23 was my mom's favorite verse.
