Special session does not reflect will of Iowans

Kim Reynolds stated that the Supreme Court of Iowa disregarded the will of Iowa voters and lawmakers when it returned a split decision on the fetal heartbeat law passed by the Republican dominated Iowa Legislature and signed by the governor. So naturally the top Republican needs to get those wise and caring lawmakers back to Des Moines so they can again tell all of us what we really want.

According to the data most often used in this state, nearly 60 percent of the Iowa voters are in favor of most abortions. So if a majority of Iowans favor abortions, why does the governor and her lemmings say otherwise? Plus medical officials and organizations have repeatedly stated that the six-week electrical impulse is not a heartbeat and the actual heartbeat is not present until later, likely closer to twenty weeks of pregnancy.

I personally feel the combined knowledge of doctors and various professional medical organizations should carry more weight than any number of Iowa lawmakers whose main function appears to be the pushing of far-right ideologies and removing as many individual rights of the citizens of Iowa as possible. I just don't see the need for corporate-like megafunds and mouth pieces from other states telling Iowans what is good for Iowa.
