Lewis Peal, 76, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023, at UnityPoint-St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. The family will host a luncheon on Saturday, July 15, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the residence of Joe and Diane Miller at 207 29th Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, assisted the family.
Lewis was born April 4, 1947, in Marion, Iowa, the son of Connie Sr. and Delight (Bigsby) Peal. Lewis honorably served his country in the United States Army in Germany. On Jan. 16, 1970, Lewis was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Bailey. Lewis loved traveling the scenic route with no destination in mind. He loved camping and fishing. Lewis was a printer at Souvenir Printing for 21 years, drove a bus for Cheyenne Band for 11 years and was a driver for Junge. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Peal; family with paws, Nina, Sassy, Lucy Lou, Rebel and Ricky; sister-in-law, Barb Bailey; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings.
