Robert “Bob” Carl Alberhasky, 58, lifelong resident of Johnson County, passed away July 3, 2023, at his home.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 9, 2023, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, 605 Kirkwood Ave., Iowa City. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial will be at the Lone Tree Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Lone Tree Fire and Rescue.

Robert was born on June 23, 1965, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Daniel and Carol (Nighbert) Alberhasky. He graduated from City High School before serving in the United States Army. After being honorably discharged, Bob attended Kirkwood Community College. Bob married Cheryl Hotz on May 14, 1994, and together they raised their three boys, Jimmy, Erik and Taylor.

He worked as a carpenter for many years at Apex Construction. Bob enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his three sons, Jimmy, Erik, and Taylor, all of Lone Tree, Iowa; two brothers, Matt (Mary Ann) Alberhasky and Paul Alberhasky; two brothers-in-law, Kevin Hotz and Gary (Angela) Hotz; his parents-in-law, Marvin and Carol Hotz; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his father Daniel Alberhasky, mother Carol Small, and wife Cheryl Alberhasky in 2020.
