Sharon Marie McMurrin-Corsmeier, 81, of Central City, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at The Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa. A Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 8, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Central City. Burial will follow at Mount Clark Cemetery.
Sharon was born on April 30, 1942, at home in Central City, the daughter of Elvin and Clara (Stumph) McMurrin. She was a 1960 graduate of Central City High School and went on to work for Rockwell Collins for many years. Sharon was a very talented artist and a wonderful mother, sister and aunt. She enjoyed bird watching and was always loving, generous and there for others when needed. Sharon will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sharon is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Theresa Corsmeier of Hiawatha; son, Dave Corsmeier of Central City; sister, Patricia Williamson of Rowley, Iowa; brother, Jon (Lyn) McMurrin of Western, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Richard, Ervin, James and Ronald McMurrin.
