USA does not abide by ‘Christian family values’

I am disappointed in my country once again. We talk “Christian family values.“ We do not act as Christians. “Love your neighbor …” and all that. I just witnessed the breaking up of another family by our immigration system. The crime the dad committed? His son has turned 18 so he is no longer needed to raise him. He works hard, doesn’t drink, smoke, do drugs, etc. The 18 year-old son, who just graduated from high school last week is now on his own, without even the chance to say goodbye. We need workers. But that’s how this “Christian“ country treats immigrants we don’t want.
We legislate against those we disagree with — LGBTQ. We ban books we don’t like — except, of course, the Bible, which is filled with murder, incest, etc. We can’t legislate against guns no matter how many mass murders happen, for whatever reason. Iowa is considering bringing back the death penalty. I guess thou shalt not kill unless they deserve it. And the list goes on …
