IGHSAU releases 2023 Iowa high school softball regional brackets

The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union released softball pairings Friday morning.

The postseason series begins June 30 with Class 1A and Class 2A first-round games, and regional finals are July 10 (1A and 2A) and July 11 (3A, 4A and 5A).

The state tournament is July 17-21 at the Rogers Sports Complex, Fort Dodge.

Two area teams — Mount Vernon (3A) and Iowa City Regina (2A) — are reigning state champions.
