Big Ten releases women’s basketball opponents for 2023-24

IOWA CITY — Indiana and Ohio State, home and away. Maryland, away only.

Those are the major storylines surrounding Iowa’s conference women’s basketball schedule for 2023-24.

Defending Big Ten tournament champions and 2023 NCAA runners-up, the Hawkeyes will play five league teams (Indiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio State and Wisconsin) both at Carver-Hawkeye Arena and on the road.

Indiana won the Big Ten regular-season title last year.

They’ll host Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State, and travel to Maryland, Northwestern, Purdue and Rutgers.

Iowa was 31-7 last season and returns three starters — consensus national player of the year Caitlin Clark, Kate Martin and Gabbie Marshall — for 2023-24.
