Teresa Ann Kimpel, 94, of Mankato, Minn., formerly of Marion, died on May 31, 2023. Funeral service: 9 a.m. Saturday, June 24, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marion. Burial afforded previously at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Daniel) Legrone; brother, Bill Moffatt; five nieces and nephews; many great-grandnieces and nephews; and grand-dogs, Noodle, and Doodle.
Teresa was born May 23, 1929, in Marion, daughter of William and Anna (Gallo) Moffatt. She was married to Robert Kimpel for 20 years before his death in 1988. Teresa cared for her siblings from a young age so her mother could work. Most recently, she was an office manager for the Cedar Rapids Senior Center, then cared for others. She and Robert liked to travel when they had the opportunity.
Teresa was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sister, Marlene (John) Ramsey.
