Tony Brandt, cherished son, brother, uncle, grandson and friend, ended his life on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, June 19, at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 18, at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City. Private burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The funeral will be livestreamed on the St. Patrick Church website at www.stpatsic.com. Friends are welcome to gather at Little Lights on the Lane, 2 Ember Lane, West Branch, to honor Tony’s life at noon.
In lieu of flowers, the Tony Brandt Memorial Fund has been established at Hills Bank and Trust to support local mental health organizations.
Tony is survived by his parents, John and Debbie and his siblings, Amanda, Danny (Jaime), Abbie (Mitchell Shellady) and Shawn; niece and nephews, Brandt, Beckett, Kyler, Madden and Meyer; his grandparents, Patricia Brandt and Marilyn and Harold Rogers; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Tony was preceded in death by his grandfather, Tim Brandt (Papa Tim).
His light will continue to shine bright in the days, months and years ahead. We will miss him everyday and pray that he is at peace. We ask you to take a moment to hug your loved ones and tell those around you how much you love them. Take the extra minute because time waits for no one.
