Republican actions are a weak sales pitch

The Director of the Iowa Economic Authority recently stated that it aims to recruit young professionals and employees to the State. Count me incredulous after our not-so-esteemed governor has gone after LGBTQ students, put our tax dollars to pay for private (read "moneymaking“) and religious schools to assist parents to enroll their children in those schools. This ultimately takes tax dollars from our public schools.
In addition, teachers are forbidden to teach certain subjects and certain books are banned. (Check online and you will be surprised at many of the classic novels)
Our state auditor, Rob Sand, is in many cases forbidden to pursue government fraud, waste and official graft unless it is approved by our governor, the autocrat personified.
Additionally, our governor has lessened the number of weeks that unemployment benefits can be taken from 26 to 16. Heaven forbid that after moving to Iowa you might lose your job.
Furthermore SNAP (food stamp) benefits eligibility is tightened tighten for those on the edge of society.
Many Republicans tout their Christian values … to borrow a phrase "what would Jesus do?“
Our state has so much to offer but these moves are not one of them.
