Helen Marie Lutz, 104, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Living Center West Care Center. Services will be held Monday, June 5, 2023, 11 a.m., at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, with Chaplain Deb Black officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Lutz; daughters, Helen and Rosalie; along with a sister, Sophie.
Helen was born Nov. 11, 1918, in Cedar Rapids to parents Ralph and Delilah Averill. She married Wilbur S. Lutz on Feb. 12, 1948. Helen and Wilbur constructed their home in Cedar Rapids with the help of their daughters. They traveled to many parts of the United States, adding collectibles to their rock collection.
