CEDAR RAPIDS — Two Cedar Rapids men were arrested Tuesday and accused of beating a man and stabbing him 10 times.
Davashi Jahdae Nickens and Jabran Dorrell Nickens, both 19, are each facing a charge of willful injury resulting in serious injury.
According to a criminal complaint, the two men attacked 41-year-old Nathyun Schnebbe by punching, kicking and stomping on him. Davishi Nickens then got a knife and stabbed Schnebbe multiple times.
Police were called to the 3300 block of Dunham Drive SW around 6:13 p.m. Tuesday. They found Schnebbe with blood around his face and soaking through the back of his shirt. One of the wounds appeared to have clearly penetrated his chest cavity, the complaint states.
Schnebbe was taken to the hospital where it was determined he had 10 stab wounds. He had to receive pain medication and go to surgery, but his injuries were not life-threatening.
The assault happened at a house that is listed as the address of both Davashi and Jabran Nickens.
