Brandi (Evans) Pilgrim, 36, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at her home. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 25, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa. Memorial service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 26, at the funeral home with certified celebrant Amy Hart officiating.
Brandi was born on Aug. 5, 1986, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Jeff and Julie (Brodersen) Evans. She was a graduate of Marion High School. On July 7, 2016, Brandi was united in marriage to Dan R. Pilgrim at Backbone State Park in Strawberry Point, Iowa. She worked at Cedar Rapids Pain Associates and Woodland Eye Clinic in Dyersville. After the birth of her children, Brandi was a stay-at-home mom to her two precious babies. In her spare time, she enjoyed hiking, and boating at their cabin in Guttenberg. Brandi will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Brandi is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband, Dan; children, Raelyn and Chase; parents, Jeff and Julie Evans of Cedar Rapids; mother and father-in-law, Dennis and Donna Pilgrim of Manchester; brother-in-law, Jamie (Yuki) Pilgrim of Irvine, Calif.; sister-in-law, Jody (Kurt) Hatfield of Delhi, Iowa; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Evans, in 2015; grandparents; uncle, Troy Anderson; and brother-in-law at infancy, Nathaniel Pilgrim.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to benefit her children.
