Duane Paul Meineke, 72, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023. Per his request, Duane has been cremated and will be inurned at Green Center Cemetery in Morley.
Survivors include his children, Brandi Iverson, Nicholas Meineke and Sara Bracht-Wagner; a niece, Julia McQuaid; and nephews, Robert L Meineke and Richard J (R.J.) Meineke.
Duane was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Frederick (Fritz) Meineke; and sister, Nancy McQuaid.
Duane was born on Jan. 25, 1951, in Anamosa, Iowa, to Paul and Margaret Meineke. He graduated from Olin High School. Duane served in the U.S. Navy from 1970-1974 on board USS Concord. Duane was a loyal Iowa Hawkeyes fan and his favorite hobby was woodworking.
Memorials may be directed to the charity of your choice in Duane’s name.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
