Sandra K. Henderson, 66, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2023. A memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Sandy was born Jan. 19, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Sandy was the daughter of Marjorie and Leonard Henderson. She attended Regis High School and graduated from Coe College with a degree in art. Sandy loved watching her grandchildren’s activities, doing pottery, painting and thrifting.
Sandy is survived by her daughter, Hayley Henderson Baez; grandchildren, Carlos Baez, Emiliano Baez, Isla Hinojosa and Leylenni Hinojosa; sisters, Shelia (Dave) Ries of Colorado, Sheryl (Steve) Rigoni of Florida, Sonya (Dave) Marshall of Marion and Shelley (Mark) Drish of Cedar Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Lynn Henderson.
