Terry Gene Hart, 74, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on May 14, 2023, after a long illness. Terry was born Nov. 6, 1948, to Gene and Maxine Hart of Ottumwa, Iowa. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Terry worked at Collins Radio/Rockwell Collins for 28 years before retiring to a new career in 2001 as the owner and creative mind behind Cedar Rapids Digital Videography. His family and friends were touched by his love of the visual arts, music and storytelling. An amateur radio enthusiast starting at age 16, some knew Terry by his call sign, WA0JBF.
Terry is survived by his brother, Mike (Shirley) Hart of Cedar Rapids; his wife of 42 years, Patricia Ruth (Dorsey) Hart; son, Matthew Hart of Chicago, Ill.; stepdaughters Rachel Hill of Seattle, Wash., and Leah (Ravin) Donald of Coralville. Eight grandchildren also survive him: Ella, Aidan, Andrew, Caleb, Preston, David, Aaron and Tevah. The family is hosting a celebration of life on Saturday, May 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Radiant Church in Cedar Rapids.
