Jacalyn “Jacki” L. Bock, 69, of Iowa City, Iowa, died peacefully on Saturday, May 13, 2023, surrounded by her three boys at University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics.

She was an avid sports fan and loved cheering on her sons in all activities (sports and Cub/Boy Scout leader), often keeping the scorebook at baseball games. She was a longtime member of the Iowa City High Little Hawks Booster Club and served as secretary eight of those nine years. Jacki attended University of Iowa football games for over 40 years. She also found time to cheer for her Cincinnati Bengals. Jacki was a lover of cats! She collected many cat figurines as well as some memorabilia. Jacki was always a giving person and loved sending treats and visiting her “grandpuppies” (Bailey & Dela) in Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas.
Jacki worked as an office administrator for various organizations (including MECCA) and retired from the University of Iowa College of Public Health in 2018.
Jacki is survived by her husband Gary; their two sons, Jamie of Coralville and Adam (Jennifer) of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas; mother, Avis of Coralville; sister, Suzette (Bob) Barricklow of Queen Creek, Ariz.; brother, Wallace (Moe) Adams Jr. of Grand Island, Neb.; brother-in-law, Timothy Bock of Iowa City; sisters-in-law, Stephanie (Craig) Newlun of The Woodlands, Texas, and Carmen Pearson, Birmingham, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
A special thank-you to Dick (Cheryl) Bock of Iowa City for all of their love and support.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wallace Adams Sr.; grandparents, Herb and Lulu Adams and Hugo and Lucille Johnson; in-laws, William and Phyllis Bock Sr.; and brother-in-law, William Bock Jr.
