LuFern O. Webb, 93, of Burnsville, Minn., formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away April 29, 2023.
Born in Fremont, Mich. She earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in education. She met Warren, husband of 55 years, in grad school and they married in 1961. She was a classroom teacher in Indiana and Illinois, and later a writing specialist at Roosevelt Middle School in Cedar Rapids. After retiring from teaching, she was a health secretary at Orchard Lake Elementary school in Lakeville, Minn. Her passions were travel, music, deep friendships and investing time and love into her family.
Preceded in death by parents, Ray and Olive Staley; and husband, Warren.
Survived by children, Steve (Susan) and Kathy (Randy) Junker; grandchildren, Kyle (Kristen), Natalie (Andy), Trenton (Amber), Paul, Brenna, David and Shaylin; and great-grandchildren, Evelynn and Hayley.
A celebration of LuFern’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, at First Evangelical Free Church, 2696 Hazelwood St., Maplewood, Min., with a family visit time from 10 to 11 a.m. Service can also be viewed at firstefc.org/livestream.
