Everything about providing free lunches in the summer is great, but I have one question:
Are all those plastic lunch containers covered with plastic film recyclable?
If they are not, then what does the organization that orders them think will happen? The empty containers don't just disappear, just as plastic grocery bags do not.
Thinking about this and the long-term consequences of using plastic is essential.
