Motorcyclist dies in Cedar Rapids crash

CEDAR RAPIDS — A motorcyclist died Friday afternoon after sliding into a wall near the 5-in-1 Dam over the Cedar River, authorities said.
Cedar Rapids officers responded about 3 p.m. Friday to the report of a crash in the 200 block of B Avenue NE, which is near Quaker Oats. A male motorcyclist, whose name was not yet been released, had lost control of the bike and hit a wall, causing “significant” injuries, police said.
He was taken to a hospital, where he died.
