Politicians should not play doctor

Medical doctors undergo years of education, training and experience to become proficient in their profession. Most politicians have little to no experience practicing medicine yet consider themselves eminently qualified to overrule, in some cases, the recommendations of most medical associations. I would like to ask these self-appointed “political doctors” if the next time they personally need a medical diagnosis or procedure they would rather be seen by a professional doctor or one of their fellow politicians.
