Judy Kay (Kendall) McVay-Edgerly, 75, passed away at the Compass Memorial Hospital in Marengo, IA, on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
A visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 9 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. with Pastor Luke Caster officiating. A livestream of the service will be available on the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home website under Judy’s obituary under the video tab, starting on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery-Memorial Lawn.
Judy was born on Nov. 9, 1947, in Ottumwa, Iowa. She was the daughter of the late Donald and Betty (Turner) Kendall. On Sept. 22, 2008, Judy married Robert Edgerly in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She enjoyed playing cards, garage sales, as well as playing bingo, attending craft shows, and spending time with her entire family.
Those left to cherish Judy’s memory are her children, Rob (Jen) McAllister, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jeff (Denise) McAllister, of Swisher, Iowa, Jason McAllister, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Stacy McAllister, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Chelsea (Kyle) Koeppen, of Vinton, Iowa, and Ashley Heeren, of Sebring, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Connie (Dean) Pfiffner, of Atkins, Iowa, Jane (Sam) Caster, of North English, Iowa, Mike (Debi) Kendall, of Hiawatha, Iowa, Steve (Rosanne) Genovese, of Des Moines, Iowa, and Raymond (Kathy) Morrison, of Arizona; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; a son, Timothy; and her brothers, Terry and Pat Kendall.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for all the love and support they showed Judy, while she was in their care.
