Michael "Mike" David Watts, 32, of Cedar Rapids, died on April 14, 2023.
A public graveside celebrating Mike’s life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2023, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Garden of Resthaven.
Mike was born on Dec. 6, 1990, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Judy Watts and Stan Pieschke. Mike graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, Cedar Rapids. Mike was a voracious reader and researcher of current events, and local and federal politics. He liked movies, comic books and was an origin story expert! Mike was a wiz at a wide variety of video games and an expert at deck building games such as Dominion, which the family enjoyed playing at family gatherings with Mike as our patient leader! Mike was always a great help to his Grandpa.
Mike is survived by his parents, Judy Watts and Stan Pieschke of Marion; grandfather, Van Watts of Cedar Rapids; uncle, Dave Watts (Christy) of Lockridge; aunt, Kathy Holland (Marlyn) of McKinney, Texas; and uncle, Michael Watts of Seattle, Wash.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Donna Watts.
