Betty Lucille (Stanford) Price, 96, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023, 1 to 2 p.m., at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. Burial at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Betty is survived by her children, Theodore (Byrl) Price, Timothy Price, Cindee Zobac, Christee (James) Stewart, Tracy (Victor) Price; 13 grandchildren including Jennifer, who she raised as her daughter; many great- and great-great-grandchildren; and her fur baby, Precious.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Price; her parents, Ray and Mary (Benion) Stanford; five sisters, two brothers, a granddaughter and great-grandson.
Betty was a stay-at-home mother until the ’70s when she worked as a lunch lady at Harding Junior High, then Kennedy High School. She owned Executive Coffee Shop in the late ’70s and early ’80s. Later she worked as a nanny and a home health aide.
Family was very important to Betty; she did anything she could for them. She loved all kinds of music and dancing, dressing up with lots of bling, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes.
