Real estate tours set for April 27 in Uptown Marion

MARION — Uptown Marion will be giving updates of renovations and new construction in the district on April 27.

The Uptown Real Estate Showcase and networking event, free and open to the public, will run from 4:30 to 7 p.m., beginning at the Goldfinch Tap & Eatery, 740 10th St.

An overview of the district will be provided at 4:30 p.m., with self-guided tours of properties from 5 to 7 p.m.

“We are thrilled to be bringing back this event post-COVID, derecho and streetscape construction,” says Brooke Prouty, Uptown Marion’s program director.

“Many of the properties on the tour have been undergoing renovations from the derecho or redevelopment and are now market ready,” she said. “We also will be featuring some unique spaces that have been recently renovated or repaired, such as the historic Masonic Temple.

The event, she said, will highlight opportunities for entrepreneurs, prospective business owners and aspiring building owners in Uptown Marion.
