Milton “Allan” Bedenbaugh Jr., 35, passed away on Sunday, April 16, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 24, at 1 p.m., performed by Rev. Greg Brown at St. David’s Lutheran Church in West Columbia, S.C.
Allan was born March 9, 1988, in West Columbia, S.C., to Milton Bedenbaugh Sr and Keri Webb. Allan moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, as a young boy and attended Jefferson High School. He enjoyed working out in the gym, fishing and old school rap music, and was a true animal lover. Allan had a quirky sense of humor and could light up a room with his contagious laughter.
Roechelle wrote:
"My Brother Milton, aka Allan, aka Brooottthhheeeerr when I needed something. Where do I begin? We have so many great memories together. Us only being six months apart made us even closer. In addition, we often were navigating the same “streets of life” but never alone.
Your laugh was infectious, and I could hear it out of a crowd. Your walk was one of a kind and I could spot it out of a crowd. And the way you were passively protective will never be forgotten.
And let me not get started on your idol, 2Pac. I still remember waking up at random times to 2Pac playing and hearing it in my sleep. You putting a blue bandana on my head and “daring” me to vacuum to 2Pac with it on.
I could go on for days, but you would probably prefer I didn’t to save us both embarrassment. With that being said, you are loved and will truly be missed. Fly high, listening to your 2Pac, and until we meet again. I love you."
Those left to cherish Allan’s memory are his mother, Keri Webb (Michael) of Lexington, S.C., a brother, Sean Wilcox of Lexington, S.C., a sister, Roechelle Wilcox of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a niece, Ellison Wilcox of Lexington, S.C.; his father, Milton Bedenbaugh Sr. of Lexington, S.C.; and grandmother, Alice Bedenbaugh of Lexington, S.C. Allan also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Allan was preceded in death by his grandfather, John B. Lovett Jr., and grandmother, Gail E. Lovett, both of Lexington, S.C.; and Milton H. Bedenbaugh of Lexington, S.C. Online condolences may be left at www.iowacremation.com under Obituaries.
