Dolores Mary Cornwall, of Iowa City, died March 28, 2023, at Briarwood Health Care Center.
Cremation has taken place in accordance with her wishes and no services are being planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice.
Dolores was born in Parnell, Iowa, the third child of Hannah (Duffy) and Timothy Driscoll. She graduated from Wellman High School and attended Paris Beauty Academy in Cedar Rapids. She moved to Iowa City, where she practiced cosmetology for 38 years. Following her retirement, she sold antiques in various locations in eastern Iowa. Dolores married Arthur Cornwall and spent her married years in Iowa City.
Dolores spent much time outdoors gardening, fishing, mushrooming and on the beaches in South Texas. She loved auctions, flea markets and seeking old treasures.
She is survived by her son, Brian and his wife, Char; grandson, Trenton and his partner, Joe; grandson, Ross and his partner, Silvia, and their son, Jett Arthur Cornwall. She is also survived by several nieces.
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings.
