Services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial will follow in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Linda was born on Aug. 2, 1950, to William and China Sue Fowler in Canadian, Texas. Linda graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1967. She then went on to study cosmetology at Frederico’s Beauty College.
Linda loved being a beautician, but later changed her career to banking. After years of serving many, Linda turned to a love of in-home daycare. She cared for many children in the community. In 1967, Linda met Charles W. Couser in Bakersfield, Calif., and was united in marriage. Linda and Charles went on to have two children, Michael W. and Chae. Linda and Charles shared 56 wonderful years together.
In her free time, Linda enjoyed reading, sewing, music, vacations and, most of all, her family. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was of service to many. Linda was a devoted grandmother or "Gigi" as her grandchildren knew her. She was a thoughtful and caring individual with a beautiful soul.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother, China Sue Fowler; father, William Fowler; brother, William Don Fowler; and sister-in-law, Nancy Fowler.
She is survived by her spouse, Charles Couser; daughter, Chae Rice (Bill); her son, Michael W.; grandsons, Kelton Rice (Abbie), Keiler Rice (Ciara) and Kaeden; her granddaughters, Kaelie Brownlie (Bentley); Justyce; and Kayla; and several nieces and nephews.
