Manchester
Berdina Maxine Carradus, 96, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at her home. She was born on Oct. 24, 1926, in Manchester, the daughter of Oris and Etta (Stone) Miller. Berdina was raised and educated in the area and was a 1944 graduate of Manchester High School.
On Nov. 14, 1945, Berdina was united in marriage to Ellison Carradus at the Manchester United Methodist Church. Two children were born to this union. Together they resided in Manchester. Berdina was a homemaker and assisted Ellison in their construction business, Miller-Carradus Construction. Berdina also was a Mary Kay consultant for several years. Ellison passed away in 1983 and Berdina continued to reside in Manchester.
Survivors include her children, Teresa (Bruce) Brenholdt of Moneta, Va., and Craig Carradus of Davenport; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Manchester United Methodist Church or Care Initiatives Hospice.
