Frances “Fran” Radcliffe, 92, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 18, 2023, at UnityPoint-St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 23, at Evergreen Cemetery, Vinton, with Pastor Brian Reeves officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, at Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home.
Fran is survived by her children, Paulette Dulin, Melody (Don Abernathy) Williams and Douglas Dulin, all of Vinton; two grandchildren, Charles Williams of North Liberty and Molly Williams of San Diego, Calif.; and many other numerous family members.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Verona Stumma and Roger Stumma; and her faithful, loving cat, Mr. Molly.
On Nov. 21, 1930, Fran was born in Shady Grove in Jefferson Township, the daughter of Keith and Leola (Bearbower) Stumma. She was a 1948 graduate of Brandon High School. In 2004 she attended Kirkwood Community College where she earned an Associate of Arts Degree. Fran was united in marriage to Earl Dulin on May 8, 1949. They later divorced. On Dec. 23, 1999, she married Tom Radcliffe. They later divorced. Throughout her years of employment, Fran was employed by Perfex and Eastern Iowa Tourism, and managed the Vinton Country Club.
In her leisure time, Fran enjoyed tending to her flower beds, golfing, playing the piano, completing crossword puzzles and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes. She was a member of the Vinton Presbyterian Church. Fran was a very loving and dedicated mother and grandma.
A memorial fund has been established.
