David R. Bowers, 59, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away in peace on Monday, March 6, 2023.
He is survived by his life partner, Elmer Reedy of Cedar Rapids; and two sisters, Vickey and Dixie
Bowers, both of Cedar Rapids.
David was known by many and
loved by all as a friend and a brother. Bartending, cooking, baking, he had done it all, including being the proud parent of many cats over the years. With a loud, happy yell, everyone knew when he was around. He always spoke the truth, even when it hurt. A compassionate man with a dry sense of humor, David will be deeply missed for many years to come.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at Chappys in Cedar Rapids.
