Kimberley Jean (Knetter) Reed, 59, of Alburnett, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at her home after a long illness. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa, is assisting the family.
Kim was born Aug. 13, 1963, to Roger and B.J. (Schneider) Thomas in Devils Lake, N.D. She graduated from Lakota High School in 1981. She worked several places in Lakota and moved to Iowa in 1990. She married Roger Reed on Aug. 12, 2006, and they made their home in Alburnett. Her passions were cooking great meals for her husband, quilting, and her animals. She loved her stepgrandchildren.
Surviving Kim are her husband, Roger of Alburnett; her mother, B.J. Baird of Alburnett; her son, Dalton (fiancée, Becca) Hogan; her sisters, Sheri (Don) Brown, Colleen (Bob) Anderson, and Lori Robbins; her brother, Dane Knetter; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father; her two brothers, Lance and Travis; and her two sisters, Lisa and Kelley.
