Grateful for hardworking paper carriers

I, too, had trouble with my newspaper delivery in Marion when I first moved here. What The Gazette did not tell me about delivery is they had no one to deliver my paper. I, too, called and complained and The Gazette apologized.

Then I found out the guy delivering my paper was graciously adding me and others on my street to his delivery route because there was no one assigned to our area. I learned this from a friend who also delivered for The Gazette in Cedar Rapids.

With that information in hand, I started thanking my delivery person instead of calling The Gazette to complain. I now have an excellent woman, Barb, delivering my paper everyday at 4:30 a.m. and I am grateful.
