Connie Sue (Bowers) Long, 68, passed away at her home in Robins, Iowa, on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Connie was born on April 11, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was the daughter of the late, Floyd and Ruth (Thomas) Bowers. On May 4, 1974, Connie married the love of her life Phil Long, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Connie enjoyed photography, weaving, camping and traveling, especially to Italy. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.
Those left to cherish Connie’s memory are her husband, Phil of Robins, Iowa; her son, Tyson (Heather) Long of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her grandchildren, Emma, Tylee and Kamryn Long; her sister, Casey Hupp, of Cortez, Fla.; her nieces and nephews, Kevin (Connie) Hupp, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Kurt Hupp, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Kerri Collings of Florida; and her mother-in-law, Helen Long of Marion, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Gentiva Hospice.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Gentiva Hospice for the love and care they showed Connie, while she was in their care.
