Marlene Doris (Jenn) Potter, born Feb. 16, 1933, in Hills, Iowa, raised in Iowa City, died at age 89 on Jan. 27, 2023, in Leonardtown, Md.
She leaves her husband of 70 years, Ammi (Tom) Potter; three sons, Ben (Virginia) Potter, Florida, Jerry (Andrea) Potter and Tommy Potter all residing in Maryland; three grandchildren, Stefanie (Rick) Neuslein, Jackson and Nicholas Potter, all in Maryland; and two great-grandchildren, Ryker and Finley Neuslein, Maryland. Also surviving are her brother, Melvin Jenn (Marcia), Iowa City, Iowa; their son, Kevin (Lynn) Jenn, and daughters, Kailey and Nicki. Their daughter Melissa Jenn (Sam) McDonald, son Mason, and daughters Sydney and Shayla all live in Minnesota.
Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Her parents, Clemens and Bernice (Frantz) Jenn; and sister, Lois Jenn, preceded her in death. Several aunts and uncles also preceded her in death.
Cremation was held; memorial services will be at a later date.
