Amy Snyder of Swisher, passed peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023. Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Teahen Funeral Home. Burial: Shueyville Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family prior to the service, from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Amy is survived by her four children, Pam Bulicek (Jake), Dick Hansell, Don Snyder (Jeri) and Cass Martin; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sisters, Cleo Piltingsrud and Shirley Wenger; and her brother, Virl Deal.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Wayne, on Nov. 19, 2003; son, Rick Snyder; granddaughter, Keri Goddard; daughter-in-law, Jan Hansell; and three brothers.
Amy Snyder was born on July 26, 1928, daughter of Marie Deal McCollum and Thurlow Raymond Deal in Ridgeport, Iowa. On Sept. 18, 1951, she married Emory Wayne Snyder.
Amy loved camping, boating, fishing, bird watching, travel, crafts and most of all spending time with her family. She will be missed.
